Server Log Information that the FHT Gathers
The FHT web servers may generate logs that may contain information about computers or devices used to access the Website or about general activity on the Website, such as the following:
- Internet address of computer or device
- Type of browser or other application used
- Operating system of the computer or device
- Web pages requested by the user
- Referring web pages
- Time spent on the Website
The FHT web server administrators may produce summary reports from these logs and share that information with Website content managers. Website content managers typically use this information in aggregate to understand what pages are popular, how users are navigating to and within the Website, and when the Website is used most frequently. While information in server logs generally cannot be used to identify individuals, you should be aware that such information inadvertently may be captured.
A “cookie” is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies are often used to retain information about preferences and pages you have visited. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. You can refuse to accept cookies, disable cookies, and remove cookies by customizing your own browser preferences.
Continuity of Data Provided
As a result of the dynamic nature of the internet, resources that are free and publicly available one day may have restricted access the next, and the location of items may change as menus, pages, and files are reorganized. You expressly agree that use of the Website and Content is at your sole risk. The FHT does not warrant that access to, or use of, the Website will be uninterrupted or error free. The Content could contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. The FHT may make improvements and/or changes to the Content at any time.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario and these laws apply to the use of the Website or the Content by you, notwithstanding your domicile, residency or physical location. The Website and the Content are intended for use only in jurisdictions where it may lawfully be offered for use.
Notwithstanding any of these terms and conditions, the FHT reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your license to use this Website, and to block or prevent future access to and use of the Website if you violate any of the terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, the terms of this Agreement shall continue to apply.
This Agreement contains the entire agreement between you and the FHT pertaining to your use of the Website and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, representations, negotiations, and discussions, whether oral or written, of the parties. There are no warranties, representations or other agreements between the parties in connection with the subject matter of this Agreement except as specifically set forth in this Agreement.
If any term of this Agreement is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall not be affected. The Agreement shall thereafter be construed as if such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision were omitted.
